From May 7 to 13, a delegation of 25 Chengdu industrial enterprises, including Upnew Furniture Co., Ltd., visited Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, conducting a week-long Central Asia “Expand Markets, Promote Exchanges” initiative aimed at expanding markets and seeking opportunities for “Chengdu Products Going Global.”
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are both important countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, with long-standing historical backgrounds.
Under the overall arrangement of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, on May 8 — a key milestone of this trip — the “Chengdu-Central Asia Industrial Cooperation Matching Conference” was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Chinese and Uzbek companies engaged in one-on-one business discussions.

As a representative of Chengdu enterprises, Upnew Furniture took the stage to deliver a roadshow presentation and conducted in-depth face-to-face communications with local government officials and multiple companies, gaining insights into investment policies and the business environment, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
“Central Asian countries started developing later, but currently their local economies are experiencing rapid growth, infrastructure is accelerating, and increasing industrial demand will inevitably lead to greater demand for commercial and office furniture,” said Songyangchao, General Manager of Upnew Furniture. “We have advantages in terms of industrial chain, technology, and experience, which represent opportunities for our overseas business expansion.”

During this trip, Upnew Furniture completed a cooperation agreement signing with local furniture enterprises in Uzbekistan.
Eco Wood plyus is the largest furniture company in the Tashkent region, and it highly praised our achievements in areas such as school, medical, and office furniture. Through this signing, they hope to engage in deeper exchanges and facilitate future inspections and cooperation.
“We signed an agreement with Uzbekistan’s Eco Wood plyus furniture company to share production technologies and reached a preliminary agreement on joint operations.” Following the previous visit to Saudi Arabia for the “Middle East Tour,” this marks another significant step forward in Upnew Furniture’s overseas market expansion. General Manager Songyangchao emphasized: “Although this is our first time visiting Central Asia, through this inspection, we’ve sensed a strong demand for our furniture products here. In August this year, we also plan to come here to participate in Uzbekistan’s furniture exhibition.” Sparks of trade have quietly begun to ignite between the two countries and cities.

Throughout the entire “Central Asia Tour,” apart from signing technical sharing and joint operation agreements with Uzbekistan’s Eco Wood plyus, Upnew Furniture’s delegation also joined other enterprise representatives in touring the China-Uzbekistan Friendship Industrial Park, investigating the local building materials market, visiting key enterprises, and engaging in face-to-face exchanges with local governments, making the trip highly productive.
Central Asia is a vast emerging market with enormous potential. Under the Belt and Road Initiative and facilitated by the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Upnew Furniture believes there will be more channels and opportunities for collaboration with various countries and regions in Central Asia, promoting coordinated economic and trade development and mutual benefit between both sides.
